...Snot Central Station

Oh boy did we have a sick house
this Friday, Saturday and Sunday....
Steven is sick,
Pescha is sick,
Sophie is sick
and I, well, I am on
the verge of sickness....
We have practiced saline
and nasal aspirator
usage every 3-4 hours.
We have given a little bit
of Tylenol here and there.
We have kept the babies
upright to sleep.
and
Well, washed all the bedding ,
and the pacifiers and anything else
we could remove and wash and then we
removed all the stuffed animals and other
stuff around them where they sleep...
and tonight, right now, they seem to be on
the mend or at least not snuffling so much.
phew!

Wyles' Baby Shower

Wow, it was great to be OUT of the house and
not just to run errands or sit in the park!

Great food and excellent company!

Our newest family friend will be arriving (hopefully)
in the next month. I can't wait to meet their baby!

Auntie Sabine!

Friday afternoon, my good friend and the
girls auntie, came to visit!

here's Sabine with Sophie...

YEAH! we made it outside...all three of us and only
me to carry the heavy stuff and the babies too!
it was lovely, met another new mom with one 10 week
old baby girl! she was lovely...we're going to have lunch
in a few weeks! yeah!!!

snuffling and the chirping of the rainforest bugs on the mobile!

and for some weird reason, my
youngest daughter has chosen today
to stay awake...yes, for the last 12 hours
she has stayed awake..........YIKKKESSSSSSSSSS!!!!

only to alternate in brief 2-5 minute blocks
with her sister.......... -sigh-

tomorrow is another day.
today, i am tired.

when it rains it pours

today, yom kippur, we decided to give daddy a
baby break, while he was fasting.
for some reason, we really didnt think
it was going to rain...chance of rain, yes, but
teaming downpour, no...
so P&S and I went out with Lindsay...and well, let's just
say, the babies stayed dry because they had a handy plastic
cover on their stroller!

Good Friday Morning!

Everyone (daddy and mommy included)
is feeling good, well rested and excited
for the weekend to come already!

Here are some pre-breakfast (6:30 am) shots of
Sophie and Pescha....who are smiling all the time,
except when the red light from the auto
focus on the camera shines on their little faces!!!!!!

Schedule, what schedule

things are changing.

this is real life.


all the order and planning and
scheduling is up in the air.

i mean, they're taking rice cereal in
their formula, so much so that i had
to cross cut the nipples - rice cereal at
two months

The babies get inoculations and the whole
of our delicate balance and timing of meals
and sleeping through the night is, well,
is OVER.

I just know all you moms are not
surprised, but I like order... I thought
we three had an understanding....

i guess not.

we have to fly by the seat of my
dirty pajama pants.....showering when
I can now that sophie has finally worked out
the instuctions for her shower detection
module, which lets out a warning alarm
everytime i step foot (and body) into the
hot and soapy water.....

and brushing my teeth
being a supreme challenge
(mostly to remember to do it)

and mommy is tired, tired like she's never
been tired before.

and daddy is tired.
tired like he's been for the past 10 months or
so

and well the babies are uncomfortable
and sore (2 shots in each leg, each!
i mean 8 altogether, yuck) are
chatting up a storm and NOT sleeping!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Double the size and 4 for 1 shots!!!!!!!

Our pediatrician informed us that we are doing
a good job! YEAH mommy and daddy!
The girls are healthy and thriving at 2 months!

The best part though was finding out
how tall they are now and how much they weigh!
Pescha: 21-1/2" tall and 11 lbs, 5 oz.
Sophie: 21-1/2" tall and 11lbs, 1 oz.

YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We'll see him again in two months
- the day before thanksgiving! I can't wait to see how
much they'll have grown by then!

The hardest part of this doctors visit was
probably for Steven and I as we each held
down one of our baby daughters and
each Pescha then Sophie received
4 shots; 2 in each leg! :(((

2 MONTHS!!!!!!!!!!

We are 2 months old today!

We went on the subway for the first time today, and
also went to look at our very first apartment for sale!

for a cup of coffee (oh, and me) ;)))))

on the road again...

after baths and visiting with Auntie Myfanwi at home,
we 3 (plus auntie) took a cab into the city with our
giant stroller and went to visit mommy's office and
daddy's office and then went to Grandma and Grandpa's for
Rosh Hashana dinner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a day!!!
